de Kabat Bloodstock is a New Zealand based company specialising in racehorse breeding. 

The focus of the business is on racetrack performance, through superior bloodlines. Our belief is that owners want to have a horse they can enjoy for a long time, so we aim to produce sound, tough, competitive racehorses. 

There are three main sections to the business: breeding, sales, and analysis. 

de Kabat Bloodstock currently own a couple of broodmares. The goal of the company is own top quality mares with the progeny for auction sale. The number of mares will be expanded slowly and only as the opportunity arises to get quality performance and pedigreed mares. 



The sales section of the business involves selling the stock from our broodmares as well as buying and selling on behalf of other people. The details are outlined on our sales page. 

The breeding and racing industries generate a multitude of statistics and de Kabat Bloodstock utilises these figures to assist with mating plans for broodmare owners. This draws on Renee’s background as a mathematician and puts the relevant figures into practical terms for broodmares owners. See our pedigree analysis page for details. 

The directors of de Kabat Bloodstock are Brennan Daly and Renee Geelen. Together we bring a combination of horse skills, business sense and statistical knowledge to de Kabat Bloodstock. Brennan is a civil engineer, currently employed by Transfield Services as Contract Manager in charge of a multi-million dollar budget. He brings strong managerial skills to de Kabat Bloodstock, as well as a balanced 'outsiders' view of the industry. Renee is qualified in physics and mathematics. She has good experience in the racing industry, having worked for several top trainers including Graham Rogerson. Renée was a hobby breeder of racehorses prior to setting up de Kabat Bloodstock. She is currently employed as the Executive Officer for the NZB Racing Hall of Fame.
